In 2001, The Lady Bamford Charitable Trust was founded in India, to work with disadvantaged communities in Haryana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, helping them to access a better quality of life. The Trust is focused around three key objectives: to improve education, help eradicate poverty and to support women & children, and has worked dedicatedly over the past fifteen years to ensure that the support given has an enduring effect.
In the UK, The Daylesford Foundation was launched in 2007, supporting projects that educate children and young people. Focusing on the core areas of organic food, growing and the countryside, The Foundation enables children and young people to learn, enjoy and connect with the principles of feeding ourselves organically and sustainably.
Carole was awarded an OBE in 2006 for her services to children and families.
